USAC Silver Crown Series Memphis 100 Less Than Two Weeks Away

Don’t miss the opportunity to see heart pounding 800-horsepower,1600-pound pavement sprint cars take on Memphis International Raceway (MIR) Saturday, March 23 for the Memphis 100 as the stars of the iconic United States Auto Club (USAC) Silver Crown Series open their 49th year on the paved ¾-mile oval.

MIR announce that World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and 5-time Chili Bowl champion Sammy Swindell from Bartlett, Tenn., is the Grand Marshal for the event. Swindell raced at Memphis International Raceway in 2004 when the USAC Silver Crown Series last raced at the facility.

More than 25 teams including defending champion Kody Swanson, Aaron Pierce, Bobby Santos III, Eric Gordon, Chris Windom and Kevin Thomas Jr., are expected to compete making the Memphis 100 a must-see event on the schedule.

Sammy Swindell, Bartlett, Tenn., will be the Grand Marshal for Memphis 100 Ticket prices start at $25 for general admission tickets. Special add-ons include a single day pit pass for $40 and a two-day pit pass for $70.

Gates open at 8:00 a.m. Saturday March 23 with two rounds of practice starting at 10:00 a.m. The green flag for USAC Silver Crown Series Memphis 100 is 2:20 p.m.
