ONE DAYTONA Hosts Kickoff to DAYTONA Speedweeks 2/7

New this year, ONE DAYTONA, the area’s premier lifestyle and entertainment destination, will host a “Kickoff to DAYTONA Speedweeks Presented By AdventHealth” on Thursday, February 7, from 6 – 8:30 p.m. This free community event kicks off the NASCAR season and the 61st running of the DAYTONA 500 on February 17 at Daytona International Speedway.

The Kickoff to DAYTONA Speedweeks Presented By AdventHealth will have local dignitaries welcoming fans; free live entertainment by Kaleb Lee, a recent semifinalist on NBC’s “The VOICE”; a performance by the acclaimed Seabreeze High School Marching Band; NASCAR driver Q&A; and photo opportunities with the Harley J. Earl DAYTONA 500 Trophy, AdventHealth show car, DAYTONA 500 show car and select NASCAR haulers on display.

“We are so excited to participate in Speedweeks with this unique fan-friendly event here at ONE DAYTONA,” said Roxanne Ribakoff, ONE DAYTONA General Manager. “ONE DAYTONA is quickly becoming an entertainment epicenter for the Daytona Beach community and we are thrilled to offer this free programming for residents and fans as we kick off the 2019 NASCAR season.”

The Kickoff to DAYTONA Speedweeks Presented By AdventHealth includes a full lineup of fan-friendly events:

  • 6-7:30 p.m.         Select NASCAR haulers on display
  • 6:20 p.m.             Seabreeze High School Marching Band performs in Victory Circle
  • 6:30 p.m.             Welcome by local dignitaries and AdventHealth representative
  • 6:35-6:45 p.m.   Q&A with NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series Driver Harrison Burton and

NBC NASCAR analyst and former NASCAR driver Jeff Burton

  • 6:45-8:30 p.m.   Performance by Kaleb Lee, recent semifinalist on NBC’s “The VOICE”

all of its own, giving our fans a perfect primer for Week 2 and the DAYTONA 500,” said Daytona International Speedway President Chip Wile.
