Circle K, Traxxas Partner With Charlotte Motor Speedway To Offer 20 Free Events for Kids in 2012

Making lasting family memories at Charlotte Motor Speedway just got a lot more affordable as track officials announced plans to offer 20 free events to children 13 and under throughout 2012.

The budget-friendly schedule, offered through partnerships with Circle K and Traxxas, solidifies Charlotte Motor Speedway as “the greatest place to see the race,” and includes a broad range of entertainment for the next generation of race fans, including NASCAR, NHRA, World of Outlaws and Legend Cars races, along with spring and fall Food Lion AutoFairs.

“At Charlotte Motor Speedway, we strive to promote family values and provide a great value to families every time they come to the track,” said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “These partnerships are our latest examples of that, and prove our commitment to helping introduce the next generation of fans to the high-octane action of motorsports.”

Children 13 and under can get in free to exciting events like the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, April 13-15 at zMAX Dragway. Free events also include a full day of racing on May 26, featuring the HISTORY 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race and the debut of Global Rallycross Championship racing at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Circle K will offer the free kids ticket coupons with the purchase of any size Polar Pop fountain drink from participating stores. The coupons will include a special promotional code that can be redeemed for free tickets for up to six children age 13 and under by logging on to www.charlottemotorspeedway.com/kidsfree or when purchasing tickets by phone at 1-800-455-FANS (3267). The in-store promotion launches April 4 and will run all year in approximately 120 stores from Greensboro, N.C. to Greenville, S.C.
