Dorney Park Speedway-Mahoning Valley Speedway Reunion/HoF Induction set for Sunday November 4

The 9th Annual Dorney Park Speedway-Mahoning Valley Speedway Reunion and Hall of Fame induction will take place at the America On Wheels Museum (AOWM) in Allentown on Sunday November 4 starting at 11:00 a.m.

The reunion, created by Dale and Bob Snyder in 2010, has grown beyond all original expectations as an affair that takes the Dorney and Mahoning community back down memory lane. It has also become one of AOWM biggest single day events on their yearly calendar which honors the stars of the two popular paved asphalt tracks both synonymous with one another.

Highlighting the show will be the induction of four individuals from Dorney and Mahoning to the America On Wheels Hall of Fame.

From Dorney Park will be noted starter Ken Golden Sr., late model kingpin Rick Karpeuk, Sportsman Modified ace Jack Heffelfinger and distinguished car owner Marvin Bartholomew.

The honorees from Mahoning Valley include multi-class winner and champion Jason Arthofer, Street Stock standout Ken Dotter, winning driver/car owner Del Hahn and the much respected chief starter Bobby Stull.

The induction ceremony will get underway at 1:00 pm.

A race car show will be held on the museum grounds and all cars from any type of racing old or new are welcome to display their machines. Currently over 50 drivers and 20 cars are planning to attend. Any drivers and cars that wish to participate please contact Bob Snyder at [email protected] by November 1. All race cars for display should arrive by 9:00 am.

There will be an admission fee for anyone entering the museum for the ceremonies. Drivers and persons displaying cars will receive a free pass and one guest pass.
