Race Fans Will Stand Out at Richmond International Raceway April 27-28 With Rookie & Celebration Buttons

When NASCAR fans return to Richmond International Raceway April 27-28, many of their fellow guests will stand out. The RIR display will be stocked with buttons that can be pinned to signify “I’m a rookie” or “I’m celebrating.” The buttons are designed to give fans something to take home and remember their experience, whether it’s their first time at America’s Premier Short Track or a day of celebration for a birthday, anniversary, etc.

Fans may stop by the RIR display on the track’s Midway to pick up a button on race day, while supplies last. Fans may write their name and the occasion they are celebrating on the button, breaking the ice for a conversation starter with fellow fans and track employees and volunteers.

“We want our fans – both new and returning – to experience the great Richmond International Raceway friendliness,” said RIR President Dennis Bickmeier. “We hope fans will feel more comfortable interacting with each other while here at our races. I’m looking forward to seeing the veterans helping the rookies find their way around the track and giving them tips on how to have the best experience at our race track.”

If you see a fan with a green celebration button during race weekend, be sure to congratulate them on their milestone. And if you can help out a fan with a yellow rookie button, please lend assistance whenever possible.
