The following is a statement from Speedway Motorsports, Inc. President and CEO Marcus Smith on the 2019 NASCAR rules package:

“Racing is all about entertaining the fans. The 2019 rules package is designed to create more side-by-side racing than ever before. NASCAR, the race teams and the manufacturers deserve a big thank-you for all of the hard work they’ve put into this process. This package is similar to what was used in this year’s Monster Energy NASCAR All-Star Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway, which produced more three-wide racing on a 1.5-mile track than we’ve seen in years. The fans have a lot to look forward to in 2019.”
