Grandview Has 2019 Practice Date Set To Open Season, Bruce Roger Memorial and Freedom 76 Set

The annual free-to-the-public practice session set for Saturday, March 30, 2019 will kick off the 57th consecutive season of stock car racing at Grandview Speedway. That practice, which is scheduled to start at noon, is open to all forms of racing competition.

Once again the one-third-mile banked clay track will be operated by the Rogers family and will again carry a NASCAR sanction.

The first racing event of the new season will be the 2nd Annual Bruce Rogers Memorial rewarding the winner with $7,500. The 50-lapper will feature the Small Block Modifieds against the Big Block racers. The race is set for Saturday, April 6th and is run in memory of the man who was instrumental in building the track along with his father and then making it the huge success it has become. The first annual Bruce Rogers Memorial was won by NASCAR Camping World Series and dirt Modified standout Stewart Friesen.

The biggest race of the season, the “Granddaddy of Major Modified Races”, the 49th annual Freedom 76, which paid more than $25,000 to winner Duane Howard is back on the schedule for Saturday, September 21st with a September 28th rain date.

Opportunities for event sponsorship along with billboard and track magazine advertising are available for the 2019 season. Full information can be had through Ernie Saxton at 215.752.7797 or [email protected].
