Homestead-Miami Speedway to Host Annual Race to the 4th Independence Day Bash

Fireworks will light up the sky at Homestead-Miami Speedway this Fourth of July, as the “Race to the 4th” Independence Day Bash, hosted by the City of Homestead, returns to the Speedway for the ninth consecutive year. The event will take place Wednesday, July 4 from 6-10 p.m., and admission and parking is free for all guests.

A sea of red, white and blue will rain down upon the track, treating guests to live music, food trucks and kids activities, including amusement rides and rock climbing. Everyone in attendance at this year’s event will have the opportunity to witness a dazzling fireworks display that will cap the evening’s festivities.

Local Miami band, Hangar 5, will kick off the festivities on stage, performing classic rock and roll hits. Food trucks will offer a variety of summer treats, and kids will have plenty of entertainment with amusement rides and carnival games. This salute to all things America will conclude with the best fireworks show in South Florida—a stunning display of pyrotechnics synced to a mix of pop hits and patriotic tunes.

Perched eight stories above turn one of the championship track, the Champions Club, which offers a preferred view of the fireworks show, will host a special VIP event. A limited number of $20 tickets for guests 13 and older are now available for purchase at the City of Homestead Parks and Recreation Department, 350 SE 6th Avenue, Homestead, FL 33030. Tickets for children seven to 12 years old are $10, and children under six can get into Champions Club for free. Tickets include VIP parking inside the ticket gates along with food and soft drinks inside the Champions Club.
