Mahoning Valley Speedway May 19 rained out

It is becoming just a bit to irregular of late as for the second week in a row and fourth time over the first seven weeks rain has put a stop to the racing action at Lehighton’s Mahoning Valley Speedway.

Rain throughout the morning and then more expected later this evening has left little chance of getting the races in. To add to that the nearly week-long soaking that hit the area has also caused minor flooding to the track.

Looking ahead to next Saturday, May 26 at 6:00 pm, a full program of stock car racing will take place and headlined by a $1000-to-win/75 lap Street Stock feature. Also in action will be Modifieds, Late Models, Dirt Mods, Pro 4s and Hobby Stocks. The Sportsman Modifieds are off.

Coming up on June 2 will be the annual Fan Appreciation Night. It will be an $8 grandstand admission (no discounts this night) and featuring all seven regular division classes.

Please not the racing on this evening will get underway one hour earlier at 5:00 pm due the extended intermission.

Also of note coming up on June 30 will be the Bill Teel Memorial 4-16’s for Modifieds and the rained out April 28 75-lap Modified feature has been reset for August 18.
