Families looking for an affordable weekend activity can turn to Richmond Raceway (Richmond). Over the last several years, Richmond has offered special pricing for kids 12 and younger. In 2018, this program will expand to welcome kids 12 and younger free in all grandstand seating areas for NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) races with a ticketed adult, including general admission and reserved seating.
“We want fans of all ages to have the opportunity to be a part of the iconic Richmond racing experience,” said Richmond President Dennis Bickmeier. “By offering kids 12 and younger a free ticket to a NASCAR Xfinity Series race, we hope many kids’ first race experience will be with us and our loyal fans at Richmond. Families can enjoy a night out at the track for a reasonable price and create memories to last a lifetime.”
In addition to being free on NXS nights, kids 12 and younger are $25 off in every grandstand seating section for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. A kids ticket to either the TOYOTA OWNERS 400 or Federated Auto Parts 400 starts as low as $10. Kids special pricing is valid for both weekends.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Returns for Fall NASCAR Xfinity Series Race
In 2017, Dale Earnhardt Jr. retired from full-time competition as the 15-time NASCAR most popular driver, but he has at least one more race in his future. Earnhardt recently announced that he will compete in the fall NXS race at Richmond.
Earnhardt has won four NXS races at Richmond with his most recent victory coming in the ToyotaCare 250 in 2016. In his seven career NXS starts, he has five top-five and six top-10 finishes.
Earnhardt has won seven races at Richmond in his career. He is a three-time Monster Energy Series race winner at Richmond with victories in the Crown Royal 400 in 2006, Chevy American Revolution 400 in 2004, and Pontiac Excitement 400 in 2000.
