The exciting two-day event will include a ride to Phoenix International Raceway and an opportunity to enjoy the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race.

“We are pleased to welcome the participants of the Checkered Flag Run to Phoenix International Raceway. Building on the success of last year’s program, we are confident that all the riders and participants will have a great time at the event,” said Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber.

The largest multicultural motorcycle gathering at NASCAR, The Checkered Flag Run will launch with a kickoff reception featuring live entertainment on Friday, March 2 from 6-10 p.m. at Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino in Chandler, AZ.

Saturday, March 3 will begin with a ride to Phoenix International Raceway to enjoy the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 NASCAR Nationwide Series Race. Riders will start from three separate locations, including Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino, Radisson Hotel Phoenix Airport and Radisson Hotel Phoenix Chandler, and will arrive at the Phoenix International Raceway by 9 a.m. Reserved parking will be available for participating motorcycles.

Participants will have the opportunity to enter a motorcycle competition judged by legendary motorcycle builders Paul Yaffe, Brian Klock, Dave Perewitz and John Shope, with cash prizes totaling $10,000 as well as the opportunity to participate in the Gatorade Victory Lane celebration that includes the awarding of the Bashas’ Supermarkets 200 champion’s trophy to the race winner. Festivities conclude Saturday night with the 3 Amigos Tequila Leather & Lace Ball at Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino.

“We are highlighting the diversity among motorcycle enthusiasts while supporting organizations that work to benefit the multicultural community in the Greater Phoenix and Chandler areas,” said Alan M.
