Overton’s Marine Partners with Pocono Raceway

Pocono Raceway and Overton’s, America’s Marine and Watersports Superstore, have announced a multi-year partnership that includes title sponsorship rights through 2019 for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series July races.

For over 40 years, Overton’s has provided the top products from leading marine and watersports suppliers to make your time on the water memorable. Today, Overton’s offers over 50,000 products and accessories online at Overtons.com and is aggressively adding more products to specifically address the growing and expanding marine market.

Overton’s currently has two retail locations in Greenville and Raleigh, North Carolina with additional plans to expand their retail footprint and open 40 new retail locations across the country over the next 12 months to better serve their customers. These Overton’s retail locations will be in conjunction with the new Gander Outdoors retail stores and will offer a breadth of marine, boating, fishing, hunting, camping, and active sports and apparel products serving the outdoor enthusiast.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Overton’s 150 will be held Saturday, July 29, followed the next day by the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Overton’s 400.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Overton’s 150 is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start and will mark the first time trucks have participated in stage racing at Pocono Raceway. Stages 1 and 2 will run 15 laps with the final stage scheduled for 30 laps.

The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Overton’s 400 is set for a 3 p.m. green flag, following qualifying that same day at 11:30 a.m. The first two stages will run 50 laps with a 60-lap final stage. Ryan Blaney claimed his first career Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series win during June’s race at Pocono Raceway.

“We are very excited to have Overton’s on board as a partner,” said Pocono Raceway President & CEO Brandon Igdalsky. “So much of the Poconos is about being on the water and the selection of items at Overton’s is incredible. With 150 lakes in the Pocono Mountains and a good percentage of our fans who enjoy the water and outdoors this partnership is a great fit.”

Pocono Raceway will host two additional national motorsports events during the 2017 racing season. The ARCA racing series presented by Menard’s Modspace 150 is scheduled for July 28. The Verizon IndyCar Series ABC Supply 500 returns on August 20.

Tickets for all races are now on sale at poconoraceway.com or by calling 1-800-RACEWAY.
