NASCAR K&N Mobile 150 Part of Record Year for Mobile Sports Authority

In the last year the Mobile Sports Authority (MSA) has attracted and supported a record number of sporting events, 35 while generating another record $26 million economic impact for the Mobile area.  The 35 events involved 24 different sports, from racing to running to gymnastics to football, plus many others.  NASCARs return to the Gulf Coast ranked #3 on the list with an economic impact of $1,984,000.
“With the tremendous support of Mobile County, the City of Mobile, and a very engaged board of trustees, we at the Mobile Sports Authority are proud that we were able to generate such a significant impact for the Mobile area economy,” said Danny Corte, Executive Director of the MSA.  “Race fans have made a huge impact on our area and our involvement in the Spring Race at Mobile International Speedway has been a top producer for MSA since it started.”
“Our racers, race fans and community take a great deal of pride in our Spring Race at Mobile International Speedway,” offered Promoter, Tommy Praytor, Praytor Management Group. “With the Mobile Sports Authority’s help we were able to bring NASCAR back to Mobile for the first time since the fifties. We are happy to be a part of their record year!”
Both the Mobile Sports Authority and Praytor Management Group are already working on events for 2017.
