Speedway Childrens’s Charities Laps for Charity returns Saturday

Fans will get their opportunity once again to enjoy the thrill of driving their personal vehicle around Texas Motor Speedway’s 1.5-mile track at Speedway Children’s Charities’ “Laps for Charity” event set for Saturday from 5-10 p.m. CT.
Texas Motor Speedway will open its gates and allow fans to take their car or motorcycle around the famed 1.5-mile track. Guests will receive three laps around the speedway paced by Texas Motor Speedway’s official Chevrolet SS pace car. After the completion of the laps, fans will commemorate the experience like the race winners at Texas Motor Speedway with a celebratory photo in Sunoco Victory Lane.

A three-lap experience and Victory Lane photo is $40 with advance purchase or $50 at the gate the day of the event. Additional three-lap experiences can be purchased for a discounted rate of $30.

Speedway Children’s Charities also will offer fans the opportunity to showcase their prized vehicle during the Show-n-Shine. Local musical group Sawman will perform and Levy Restaurants will provide concessions. Fans attending “Laps for Charity” must enter the track through the South Tunnel.

All proceeds from “Laps for Charity” benefit Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas Chapter, which has distributed more than $10 million in funding to non-profit organizations in North Texas supporting children in need since its inception in 1997.
