Greenville-Pickens Speedway Set For Sizzlin’ Hot Month Of July

This Saturday, July 9th will kick off a sizzlin’ hot month of July at Greenville-Pickens Speedway with Twin 50-lap features for NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stocks plus renegades, super stocks, pure stocks and four-cylinders.

Chase Purdy has seven feature wins and Trey Gibson has four, but they will both have plenty of competition at the historic half-mile, as drivers including recent first-time GPS winner Dylan Hall, Will “The Thrill” Burns and others will take to the track looking to earn a trip to “Call Double Aught Bryan Ramey” victory lane.

On July 16th, the limited late models will headline with a 50-lap feature as points leader Luke Sorrow seeks to return to victory lane while his older sister-in-law Taylor Sorrow will be among those chasing him hard to the finish line as she looks for her first victory at GPS. All four support classes will also be in action.

Saturday, July 23rd sees the return of the Mulligan Power Truck Series with a whopping $2,000 to win / $1,000 to start purse! Tim Lollis won the inaugural race for this division a few weeks ago, and a strong field is expected to be on hand to stop him from making it two straight.

Twin features for the NASCAR Late Models are also on that night’s program along with a meet and greet for that division for the fans, plus all four support divisions.

The month of July comes to an exciting close on Friday, July 29th and Saturday, July 30th as the Monster Truck Motornationals come to GPS for the first time!  This promises to be a weekend of family fun you won’t want to miss!

That monster truck spectacular leads GPS right into the month of August, where on August 6th, the Bandit Big Rig Series will join the late models, limited late models and all four support divisions for a seven division, eight feature blockbuster that is sure to entertain all ages!

Gates open this Saturday, July 9th at 4pm with racing getting underway at 7pm. Admission is $15 for adults, $5 for children ages 9 to 11 and free for children 8 and under with paid adult.
