Gateway Motorsports Park announces sponsor for June 25 ARCA event: Illinois Lottery Presents ARCA Midwest 50

Gateway Motorsports Park has added two new companion events to its annual NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Drivin’ for Linemen 200 on June 25. The third annual NASCAR race will be accompanied by ARCA Midwest Tour and USAC Silver Crown Series qualifying and features.

GMP officials today announced a sponsor for the ARCA race and the new title for the event will be the Illinois Lottery Presents ARCA Midwest 50.

“Gateway Motorsports Park is pleased to once again partner with the Illinois Lottery,” said Chris Blair, General Manager and Executive Vice President at Gateway Motorsports Park. “They have supported major events at the Dragplex and we welcome them to our superspeedway.”

The 40-lap, 50-mile Illinois Lottery Presents ARCA Midwest 50 is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. Two ARCA Midwest races have been run so far in 2016 and Ty Majewski of Seymour, Wisconsin, has won both. Majewski drives in this Late Model stock car series for the legendary Ruolo Brothers and is a member of Roush Fenway’s driver development program. Another driver to watch in this event is 17-year-old Natalie Decker, a four-time kart racing champion from Wisconsin.

Driver introductions for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Drivin’ For Linemen 200 (hashtag: #D4LM200).are slated for 7 p.m. with the green flag at 7:30 p.m.

The USAC Vatterott College Silver Crown Showdown race is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Spectator gates will open at 8 a.m.
