Mother Nature Postpones Military Appreciation Night at Meridian Speedway

Mother Nature reigned supreme Saturday night as rain showers forced Meridian Speedway to postpone its annual Military Appreciation Night.  The patriotic festivities will now be held Monday, May 30, the second race night of the Memorial Day weekend.

Meridian Speedway kicks off the Memorial Day weekend Saturday, May 28 with the Bob and Tom Naylor Classic featuring the Mountain Dew Winged Sprintcars, the Austin Christopherson and Eldon Cahill Memorial for the Domino’s Legends, and the Sean Miller Memorial for the Project Filter Pro-4s.  The CT400 Winged Sprintcars and the TATES Rents Hornets also race Saturday.

Monday night, May 30, hosts the Bill Crow 50 for the NAPA Auto Parts Big 5 Latemodels and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds run the LeeRoy Nelson 40.  The Kendall Ford of Meridian Mini Stocks, Teleperformance Claimer Stocks, and College of Western Idaho High School Tuners round out the Memorial Day weekend action.

Tickets to each night of the Memorial Day double-header are just $10.50 for adults, $6.50 for kids 7-11, and on Monday night Military members get in free with their military ID, as do fans with their tickets from May 21’s Military Appreciation Night.  Visit meridianspeedway.com for your advance tickets and text ‘meridianspeed’ to 84483 for exclusive updates from around the quarter-mile.  We’ll see you this Memorial Day weekend under the big yellow water tower at Meridian Speedway.
