Champion Racing Oils Masters of the Pro’s I-44

Officials at the “High-Banks” of the Lebanon I44 Speedway are proud to announce Champion Racing Oil as the title sponsor of the 4th Annual Champion Racing Oil Masters of The Pros 144 on Saturday May 14th.

This event has become one of the highest paying Pro Late Model events in the United States with a cool $8,000 to win the 144 lap feature event. The event, sanctioned by the JEGS/CRA All-Star Tour and challenged by the NASCAR Whelen All American Series brings the best in Pro Late Model Racing to Missouri’s only active asphalt track.

Past winners of the event include Chase Elliott, Anderson Bowen and John Hunter Nemechek. They have taken home the winners share of the prize money along with the Green Jacket in an event that has drawn between 35 and 40 entries each year. The race features 144 laps of side by side racing with a 10 minute pit stop at lap 100 and a 44 lap shootout to the checkers at the end to crown the champion.

“We are pleased and excited to have Champion Racing Oil and their distributor Empire Energy, come aboard as the title sponsor of what has become a national event in Pro Late Model racing. Champion Racing Oils is a huge supporter in the racing industry and 2016 marks a 60 years in business for them so we look forward to a great partnership for everyone” said General Manager Kevin Greven. “Chase went on to win the NASCAR Xfinity Series and now drives the famous #24 for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Spring Cup Series after winning our event and John Hunter is leading the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series points after winning the race in Daytona. It is pretty cool to take a great facility like this and bring in an event with national implications that allows fans from all over the country to meet the guys that they can or will see NASCAR racing on TV in years to come.”

The Speedway will hold an open practice session on Friday Night, May 13th that will be FREE to the public to come watch in both the grandstand area and the “Wildside” Tier Parking area. Saturday evening will feature time trials to help set the starting grid and last chance events for the 28 Car Field. Action will also feature a special autograph session following time trials and two NASCAR support Classes competing as well.
