Friday Night Heat set for this Friday, April 29

After rained washed out last week’s racing activities, the forecast is looking much better for this Friday, April 29 at Kingsport Speedway.

Only two events have taken place so far this season, and both of them have been action-packed.

Kres VanDyke currently leads the standings in the Late Model Stock Car division with one win and a third place finish to date.

Chris Tunnell sits atop the Street Stock standings by two points over Dennis Deese. Tunnell has one win and a second place finish so far, with Deese having the other victory.

Billy Byington has been the only winner in the Pure 4 division, dominating both races that have taken place. With one win and a third place finish, Billy Duty ranks at the top of the Mod 4 division’s leaderboard, and Brad Ball finds himself in the lead of the Pure Street division.

Headlining the night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series racing this Friday night will be the Late Model Stock Car division for 60 laps. Also in action will be the Street Stock, Pure 4, Mod 4, Pure Street, and Legend Cars.

Grandstand gates open at 5:30 PM, qualifying begins at 7:00 PM, and the green flag waves at 8:00 PM. Adult admission is $10, with children 12-and-under admitted free.
