The inaugural Gateway Carerra Classic Presented By Porsche Of St. Louis will take place April 22-24 on the Circuit of St. Louis road course at Gateway Motorsports Park. The all-Porsche road racing event includes sprint races and an enduro. It also marks the first race on the 944 Cup Racing Series Midwest Chapter schedule. Spectator admission is free.
Racing will feature everything from purpose-built, full-race Porsche Cayman GT4 Club Sports and GT3 Cup cars to modified street cars and stock cars with limited modifications.
The challenging seven-turn, 1.65-mile Circuit of St. Louis road course at Gateway Motorsports Park is located just five minutes from the Gateway Arch and downtown St. Louis.
Tentative schedule:
Friday — Test & Tune.
Saturday — Practice and qualifying sessions, fun races, practice starts, sprint race.
Sunday — Practice and qualifying sessions, sprint race, one-hour enduro.
