With rain and cold temperatures befalling Darke County and forecasted through late Friday night, Eldora Speedway officials have canceled the Test and Tune Day scheduled for Saturday, April 9.
Little Eldora’s opener, the 2016 SpringBuster, is still set for Sunday, April 10. The driver’s meeting is set for 11:15 a.m. (EDT) and racing begins at 12:30 p.m.
Eldora’s 63nd season opener will be on Saturday, April 16 with the Sunoco American Late Model Series, the DIRTcar UMP Modifieds and the Eldora Stock Cars competing on the legendary half-mile clay oval.
Admission gates will open at 2 p.m. with hot laps beginning at 4:30 p.m. Eldora’s early season post-time is in effect with the complete racing program beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets can be bought at www.EldoraSpeedway.com, by phone at (937) 338-3815 or at the box office at the race track. It’s $12 for adults and kids 12 and under are admitted free.
