Rain Cuts Grandview Speedway Race Program Short on Saturday Night Setting up Busy Schedule Ahead, Pa 410 Sprint Speedweek Next on Tuesday, July 2 & Back to the 90’s Night $10 Admission on July 6

Rain, which had been predicted for a little later in the night, ended up arriving earlier than expected, putting an early end to the racing program on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.

The rains arrived during the running of the final qualifying heat race on Saturday night, ending the racing program before any feature race action could be completed.

Grandview Speedway’s rain out policy states once four or more events have been run, the race program is considered a completed show, so all grandstand tickets and pit wristbands from the June 29 show are no longer valid, however, track management will keep all events that were run as official, with drivers who ran their heats races now qualified for their respective feature events. The features will be made up along with twin consolations for both the T.P. Trailer Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman divisions.

The make-up events and upcoming schedule are as follows:

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman drivers will see their two consolations and feature from Saturday, June 29 added to the show next Saturday, July 6, in addition to a complete new show of qualifying and feature action for both the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman.

All of this action on July 6 will take place ON 90’S NIGHT AS PLANNED FOR JUST $10 GRANDSTAND ADMISSION!

The following week on Saturday July 13 will see the races go on as scheduled with the 54th running of the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman Firecracker 40 along with the T. P. Trailer Modifieds in a two-division NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series race program.

The T.P. Trailer Modifieds will see their fourth heat completed along with the two consolations and feature from June 29 added to the show on July 20, in addition to a complete new two-division program of T.P. trailer Modified and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman action.

Grandview Speedway management sends out a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and supported the show, and the drivers who helped move the show along this past Saturday night!

Just a note that Speedway management did not wish to hold the Modified make-up until such a later date, but also did not want to have those divisional drivers run a double feature make-up race program along with running a mid-week show in the same week, and out of respect to the Sportsman drivers did not want to interfere with the schedule already set for their Firecracker 40 Championship the following week.

Qualifying heat races for the 44 – T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman cars on hand were won by Zach Steffey of Sinking Spring, Pa., Lawson Szerencits of Catasauqua, Pa., Brian Hirthler of Green Lane, Pa., and Steve Young of Collegeville, Pa.

Qualifying heats for the 35 – T.P. Trailer Modifieds on hand were won by Ryan Watt of Boyertown, Pa., Nate Brinker of Macungie, Pa., and Mike Lisowski of Minersville, Pa. with heat race number four on the track and in progress when the rains arrived.

The next race at Grandview Speedway will be a Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event on Tuesday, July 2 with a visit by the powerful 410 Sprint Cars of the Pennsylvania Posse in the 34th running of PA Sprint Car Speed Week. The Speed Week event at Grandview is titled the Hodnett Cup and salutes the late driver who is one of the all-time winningest 410 Sprint drivers in Grandview history. The program will be sponsored by HVAC Distributors Partners for Success and pay the winner of the 35-lap 410 Sprint Car main event a healthy $10,000!

The Tuesday night show will also include the 358 NASCAR Modifieds running in qualifying races and a 30-lap $3000 to win main event. Pioneer Pole Buildings has once again posted a first time Thunder Series winner’s bonus of $2000, making for a possible $5000 payday for the 358 Modified feature event.

Adult grandstand admission will be $30, children 6-11 are $10, while kids 5 and under will be admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $45 and a license is not required.

Race fans will then be taking a trip down memory lane next Saturday night when Grandview Speedway presents 90’s night.

The highlight of the night will be the roll back of the grandstand admission to 1990’s pricing, as fans will pay just $10 for a complete night of NASCAR Modified and Sportsman competition.

Next Saturday night will be a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series double-header featuring the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman. The race program will consist of qualifying races for both divisions leading into the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman main event, plus two consolations and a 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature from the June 29th race program.

On Saturday, July 6 pit gates will open at 4 pm. with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm. and racing starting at 7:30 pm.
