SCC Online Auction to Include Defending NASCAR Series Champion Chase Elliott

The Kentucky Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC) is excited to announce its annual Online Auction for Kentucky Speedway’s September race weekend. The auction will occur exclusively online, opening at Noon on Sunday, September 6 and closing at 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 20.

The winner of the package will receive a unique race day experience on Saturday, September 26, highlighted by a meet-and-greet with defending NASCAR XFINITY Series Champion Chase Elliott. In addition, the winner and one guest will be able to view some of the laps of the VisitMyrtleBeach.com 300 from atop Chase’s pit box, ride in one of Kentucky Speedway’s Official Pace Vehicles, take a guided tour of the garage area and have access to the private Drivers Meeting, pre-race ceremonies and Victory Lane.

“From start to finish, this package is filled with thrilling opportunities that can’t be purchased,” said Chapter Director Dayna Winslette. “Who wouldn’t want to meet one of today’s rising stars, ride around NASCAR’s roughest track prior to the race or celebrate with the winner in Victory Lane? Plus, what makes this experience even better is knowing that you are helping local children in need with your donation.”

Fans will have two weeks to participate in the auction, which opens with a starting bid of $400 for this exhilarating experience. Further details, including auction rules and eligibility, are available online at http://kentucky.speedwaycharities.org/events/.

The Kentucky Chapter will also be busy on race weekend at Kentucky Speedway when the ARCA Racing Series and NASCAR XFINITY Series roll into town September 25-26. Fans will have the opportunity to play putt-putt or mini basketball at the SCC Activities Tent in the Display Area near Gate 15 outside of the track. Winners will receive an SCC item and be entered to win the grand prize from the weekend, two grandstand tickets to the NASCAR XFINITY Series race in September 2016.

Fans can also take the opportunity to drop off unexpired, unopened canned and/or non-perishable food items at the tent during its hours of operation on race weekend. All donated items will be taken to a local food bank and provided to families in need.

All funds raised from these activities are put directly back into the tri-state community through SCC’s annual grant distribution program, where funding is provided to non-profit children’s organizations who care for children in educational, financial, social and medical need.
