Chicagoland Speedway Ammenities as they Kick off the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Sept. 18-20

An abundance of amenities will ensure that NASCAR fans traveling to Chicagoland Speedway for the upcoming triple-header NASCAR weekend, including the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, September 18-20, will receive a fully-engaging NASCAR experience.

Major Concert Entertainment

Country music sensation and Illinois Native, Brett Eldredge, will perform a pre-race concert prior to the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup on Sunday, Sept. 20. Eldredge hails from Paris, Ill., approximately 180 miles south of Chicago, and released his new single, “Lose My Mind,” last Tuesday. The CMA New Artist of the Year plans to release his sophomore album later this year.  His debut album, Bring You Back, yielded the No. 1 hits “Don’t Ya,” “Beat of the Music,” and “Mean to Me.”

Pre-Race Show

Returning for the third consecutive year, Jim Cornelison, the Chicago Blackhawks national anthem singer and better known as the “Golden Standard,” will perform “The Star Spangled Banner” to kick off the first race of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 20.

Tailgate Party

US99.5 and Bub City have teamed up to bring fans the biggest tailgate party of the yearwhen Chicagoland Speedway kicks off the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup on Sunday, September 20. The US99.5 and Bub City ticket package includes a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race ticket, admission to country music star Brett Eldredge’ s pre-race concert along with a Fan Zone Pit Pass, which puts fans front and center to the concert and provides access to driver introductions, a red carpet walk, tech inspection and the Infield Fan Zone. Also included is $10 in Bub City Bucks to be used in the US99.5 tailgate party located in Champions Park.

Champions Park

Champions Parkis a family-friendly area open to all race fans, which includes live entertainment, the Kids Zone, a social hub providing games and prizes as well as monuments dedicated to past winners. The park is recognized as one of the most impressive and fan-interactive display areas on the motorsports circuit as it provides a park-like setting right next to the grandstands where you can enjoy entertainment and fan engagement activities in a party atmosphere before the race.

The Loop 97.9FM is also presenting a NASCAR Post-Race Party in Champions Park. This special show will feature live music with Hairbangers Ball and will kick-off approximately 15 minutes after the checkered flag.

Chicagoland Speedway Garage Experience

On Saturday, Sept. 19, fans with a Fan Zone Pit Pass, and accompanying grandstand or infield camping admission, will have the exclusive opportunity to experience the NASCAR XFINITY Series garages, providing a unique and educational experience. From 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., official Chicagoland Speedway tour guides will escort groups for a behind-the-scenes encounter through designated areas within the XFINITY Series garages. Registration for tours will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will continue until all available passes are filled.

Fan Zone Pit Pass

In addition to the garage experience, Fan Zone Pit Pass Holders have access to view the drivers’ red carpet walk, participate in NASCAR personality question-and-answer sessions, visit Gatorade Victory Lane prior to the races and spend pre-race in the infield.

Legends Club

Featuring appearances from renowned drivers and personalities, and themed with items from NASCAR’s rich tradition, the Legends Club offers an intimate setting with an all-inclusive package of beer and wine, plus two meals per day. XFINITY Series driver, Regan Smith, will be in attendance on Friday, Sept.18 while Sam Hornish Jr, driver of the No. 9 for Richard Petty Motorsports, will make a special appearance on Sunday, Sept. 20. Chicagoland Speedway will also induct former NASCAR champion Rusty Wallace into the Legends Club during a ceremony on Saturday, September 19 at 4 p.m.

Celebrities

Furious 7 cast member, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, will serve as Grand Marshal of the Furious 7 300 on Saturday, Sept. 19. Then, on Sunday, Sept. 20, American former World No. 1 professional tennis player, Billie Jean King, and retired Los Angeles Lakers NBA basketball player, Jerry “Mr. Clutch’ West, will serve as Grand Marshals for the myAFibRisk.com 400.

The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, Sept. 18-20, will begin with I-Cash Pole Qualifying followed by the American Ethanol E15 225 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race under the lights on Friday night. On Saturday, Sept. 19, the Furious 7 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series will hit the track as the precursor to Sunday’s myAFibRisk.com 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series showdown, the first race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.
