Chicagoland Speedway Schedule of Events to Kick off the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup

The Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup kicks off at Chicagoland Speedway in two short weeks. In preparation for the myAFibRisk.com 400, NASCAR and Chicagoland Speedway have released an exciting schedule of events leading up to the triple-header NASCAR weekend, Sept. 18-20, to deliver an engaging fan experience including Chase Fest on Thursday, Sept. 17.

Weed Street, between Fremont and Kingsbury in Chicago, will be the place to be Thursday evening as the week long series of events leading up to Chase Fest culminate with a free weekend kick-off party. Be sure to join the battle as all 16 Challengers for the Chase gather for a massive street take-over unlike any other in the industry. The party will take place between 2 and 9 p.m. and will feature food, giveaways and live outdoor entertainment from Grammy-nominated band, 3 Doors Down.

Chicagoland Speedway President, Scott Paddock, marked this momentous occasion by stating, “NASCAR fans in Chicago and around the world have come to expect big things from the kickoff of the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup in Chicago and this year is no exception. NASCAR Chase Fest is a dynamic event that segues nicely into the weekend where the celebration will continue at Chicagoland Speedway.”

Prior to Chase Fest, the week will kick off on Saturday, September 12, race fans will have the opportunity to gather at Skooters Roadhouse for a viewing party of the final Sprint Cup Race before the Chase kicks off in Chicago. The race at Richmond International Raceway will set the field for the Chase making it is an event that should not be missed. The green flag waves at 6:30 p.m., but make sure to check in starting at 5:30 p.m. for the chance to win Chicagoland Speedway prizes throughout the night.

Then on Wednesday, September 16, Chicagoland Speedway will host NASCAR Karaoke Night at Bub City. Chicago’s premier location for barbeque and live country music encourages race fans to attend 8-10 p.m. and participate in live band karaoke – NASCAR style. That means representing favorite NASCAR teams and drivers by wearing their most decorative gear. Admission is free and the evening will spotlight Chicagoland Speedway giveaways and the chance to win a VIP experience.

In addition to Chase Fest, Thursday will also feature Joliet’s Race Fan Rally. The free 15th annual event consistently kicks off the NASCAR Chase weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, and is one of the largest of its kind in the country. Race Fan Rally will feature the Sprint Cup on display and appearances by XFINITY Series drivers David Starr and Eric McClure. The fun continues with a race, show and classic car cruise-in, a public safety zone, vendors and live music by the Hairbangers Ball. The evening will conclude with a firework display.
