Nashville Crush Voted Winner of LiftMaster® Garage Band Contest

The fans have spoken, the votes are in, and Nashville Crush has been selected as the winner of the LiftMaster® Garage Band Contest.

The Lima, Ohio-based band describes itself as the perfect balance of country and rock music, and will join LiftMaster, the number one brand of professionally installed garage door openers, during the 600 race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

“When we got the call from LiftMaster letting us know that we were the winners and were going to be performing at Charlotte Motor Speedway, we were speechless,” said Nathan Felkey, drummer for Nashville Crush. “This is such an amazing opportunity for all of us, and we can’t wait to perform for the fans during race weekend.”

Nashville Crush submitted its original song Make it Bounce in LiftMaster’s nationwide search for its winning garage band. In addition to playing prior to the longest race of the season, the band will also meet Kasey Kahne, driver of the No. 5 LiftMaster Chevrolet SS, and receive a cash prize of $5,000.

“We’re very proud to have Nashville Crush as the first fan-voted winner of the LiftMaster Garage Band Contest and to see them perform during pre-race activities for one of the biggest races of the year,” said John Villanueva, Vice President of Marketing for LiftMaster. “The support from the fans for this program has been extremely positive, and we are excited to have them and Nashville Crush celebrate our primary race weekend with us in Charlotte.”

LiftMaster will kick off a jam-packed race weekend with the LiftMaster Memorial Weekend Stair Climb and LiftMaster Pole Night on Thursday, May 21 and continue with a Sunday, May 24 performance by Nashville Crush. For the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, Kahne and the No. 5 Chevrolet team will compete with primary sponsorship from LiftMaster for the first time this season.
