10 Days of Thunder Brings Unmatched Entertainment During NASCAR Sprint All-Star and Coca-Cola 600 Weekends

As Charlotte Motor Speedway gears up for the 10 Days of NASCAR Thunder, recent additions to the speedway’s fan-friendly entertainment lineup mean more opportunities for fans to customize an unforgettable race day experience at the greatest place to see the race.

Bookended by the biggest all-star events in sports, the 30th anniversary of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race on May 16, and the ultimate test of man and machine, the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24, the white-knuckled action on the high banks of the legendary 1.5-mile superspeedway in May is second to none. With better access to NASCAR’s top drivers, Hall-of-Fame pre-race musical entertainment, first-of-its-kind enhancements to the Fan Zone and the chance for fans to showcase their musical talent on the main pre-race stage, the thrills are just as big off the track.

Below are a few of the attractions fans will find surrounding the upcoming race weeks at Charlotte Motor Speedway that make the 10 Days of NASCAR Thunder a top priority on every fan’s bucket list:

Charlotte Motor Speedway Trophy Tour

Over the next month, Charlotte Motor Speedway will traverse the Carolinas, Virginia and Tennessee, getting fans revved up for back-to-back weekends of racing in the epicenter of NASCAR with its free-to-the-public Speedway Superstar Tour, presented by Sprint, Coca-Cola and Walmart launching this week.

A mobile convoy of fun, including the Charlotte Motor Speedway Fan Van, a Coca-Cola 600 stock car, official pace cars and more will roll through 16 cities across the south to bring the fun of the 10 Days of NASCAR Thunder directly to race fans across the region. The tour will also include appearances by Coca-Cola Family Racing members and other NASCAR personalities, including Miss Sprint Cup, photo opportunities with the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and Coca-Cola 600 trophies and the chance to audition in the Speedway Superstar mobile studio and become one of five Speedway Superstars to perform before a NASCAR race at Charlotte in May, and so much more.

Coca-Cola Party Pass

Fans who want to get closer than ever to their favorite Coca-Cola Family Racing driver can upgrade their Coca-Cola 600 race ticket to the Coca-Cola Party Pass and join Danica Patrick, Ryan Newman and Joey Logano for a little pre-race fun. The VIP hospitality package includes driver appearances, interactive games, a race simulator and plenty of delicious food and refreshing Coca-Cola, all for just $79.

Charlotte Motor Speedway Pit Party

For even more driver appearance during Coca-Cola 600 race weekend, fans should purchase a pit pass for access to the Charlotte Motor Speedway pit areas and the incredible Pit Party.

In addition to strolling down pit road before the green flag waves and get a look at last-minute race-day preparations, fans can join the pit party, where drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Joey Logano, Brad Keselowski, Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson are scheduled to appear.

Megastars of Country and Rock and Roll

Fans in the pits and the stands will be treated to a free pre-race concert with two gigantic acts during the 10 Days of NASCAR Thunder.

The biggest all-star event in sports will host a pre-race concert with one of the biggest bands in country music as Little Big Town will get the crowd revved up before the 30th-anniversary edition of the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday, May 16. For just $20, fans can upgrade their race ticket to a Golden Ticket and get early infield admission and stagefront access to the pre-race concert, presented by Rayovac, while their fans will enjoy the GRAMMY-winning band’s hits like “Girl Crush,” “Pontoon” and “Day Drinking.”

Not to be outdone, the Coca-Cola 600 pre-race show will include a 45-minute set by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legends, ZZ Top. The Texas trio will set the tone for a rockin’ good time with their classic sound and ubiquitous hits like “Sharp Dressed Man,” “Legs” and “Gimme All Your Lovin’.”

Speedway All-American Craft Brewer’s Tour

Throughout both the NASCAR Sprint All-Star and Coca-Cola 600 race weekends, fans can quench their thirst and discover the diverse flavors of the North Carolina-region’s budding craft brew scene at the world’s largest mobile bar and brewery.

In conjunction with the Beer Haven Festival, Charlotte Motor Speedway will launch the nationwide Speedway All-American Craft Brewer’s Tour in May. The festival will offer fans the opportunity to sample up to 60 regional craft beers at the first-of-its-kind, self-serve pouring stations and enjoy popular games like corn hole, life-sized Jenga and more. Fans can get three hours of unlimited sampling for just $39.
