MIR welcomes Comfort Inn and Suites, Parkway Smokers Cafe as partners

Memphis International Raceway (MIR) is welcoming two new partners aboard just in time for the April 10-12 Super Chevy Show.

The Comfort Inn and Suites of Atoka along with the Exxon Parkway Smokers Café and Catering have joined forces with the track for the next three years and already planning on making an impact on one of MIR’s biggest events of the year.

“Hotels in Millington are filling up quickly, so we’re proud to have another Preferred Hotel that’s close to the track that we can direct our fans to,” said Pam Kendrick, VP and GM of Memphis International Raceway. “We’re happy to have Sam Patel and his staff aboard for Super Chevy weekend and beyond.”

Patel owns both the Comfort Inn and Suites and Parkway Smokers Cafe.

“We think it’s an excellent combination for fans,” Patel said. “We’re able to provide them with a top quality hotel room and some of the best Southern style cooking in Mid-South.”

The Comfort Inn and Suites also features full service banquet facilities for gatherings of all sizes both at the hotel and at a larger facility off-site. The banquet rooms are ideal for events such as wedding receptions, corporate meetings or family reunions. The Comfort Inn also has a party planner available to help take care of the small details that turn a special event into a cherished memory. For reservations call 901-837-7729.

The Exxon Parkway Smokers Café (4629 Navy Road in Millington) is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week. The café features Chester’s Fried Chicken, Big Un’s World Champion BBQ along with a rotating menu of home-cooked entrees such as baked or fried catfish on Wednesdays or spaghetti and meat sauce on Friday. The menu also includes their famous Pokey Dog.

Parkway Smokers also has a full catering menu available which can provide everything from full meals to box lunches to sides plus cakes and pies to help fill out your next backyard cookout. Call 901-873-4853 for details.

Super Chevy Show fans will be able to bring their wristbands in from the show and get a dollar off a plate meal at Parkway Smokers Café.
