Memphis International Raceway is welcoming the return of warmer weather and spring with a special Sunday Funday event at its historic drag strip on Sunday, March 15.
The event will follow the track’s standard Test N Tune format (racing from 1:30 to 6 p.m.) with one important exception, the inclusion of a $500 winner-take-all Gambler’s Race.
“All the racers around are as excited to get started as we are,” said Drag Strip Manager of Operations Paul Cartwright. “The forecast for Sunday is looking favorable and it would be a shame to waste a nice day and not be racing. The Gambler’s Race is a fun way to drum up some excitement and start the season on a fun note.”
Admission for Sunday Funday is $20 to race and $10 for spectators. Children 12 and under are free. Every racer’s entry includes a free spot in the Gambler’s Race. The race is open to all cars
Gates open at 1 p.m. and racing will start at 1:30 p.m.‘
