Bigger, Better 2nd Annual Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama Coming to AMS April 18-19

Atlanta Motor Speedway will host an even bigger and better second annual Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama, Georgia’s premier motoring festival, April 18-19, 2015 following a successful inaugural event last year.

Motorama, which descended on Atlanta Motor Speedway for the first time in 2014, is a massive celebration of all things with a motor and became one of the country’s largest automotive festivals in its very first year. Drawing over 15,000 attendees at its inaugural event, activities at the festival range from a swap meet, vehicle-for-sale corral, live music, kids activities, celebrity appearances, racing, a collector car auction and more.

“We had an tremendous response at last year’s first-ever Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama,” said Ed Clark, Atlanta Motor Speedway president and GM. “Our team has been hard at work to put on an even bigger and better show in 2015, and we’re looking forward to another can’t-miss event for motoring enthusiasts in Georgia and across the region.”

The 2015 Summit Racing Equipment Atlanta Motorama will feature an overloaded lineup of more than 1,100 show cars, an expansive vendor midway comprising over 250 vendors, some of the nation’s best show cars, unique collector cars and two days of endless motoring entertainment for the whole family.

Major events returning for the 2015 lineup include lawnmower racing, autocross competition sponsored by AARP, a pinstriper’s showcase, classic RV displays and car-crushing demonstrations by BIGFOOT® as part of its 40th anniversary celebration. New attractions in 2015 will include the Hot Rodder’s of Tomorrow regional qualifying event, burnout contests, special displays commemorating the 75th anniversary of the 1940 Ford and 60th anniversary of the 1955 Chevrolet, along with many other exciting features.

Summit Racing Equipment, the world’s largest direct marketer of automotive performance equipment, will return as Motorama’s title sponsor in 2015, while presenting sponsors Classic Collectors Insurance and zMAX Micro-lubricant will also return for a second year. Additionally, the Atlanta Journal Constitution will join as a presenting sponsor for the first time at this year’s festival.
