FW Foundation Offer Special General Admission Ticket Price for Race Fans to “Fight Night for the Troops”

On Friday, August 19 at the Budweiser Acceleration Club at Michigan International Speedway, the VFW Foundation will hold its first-ever “Fight Night for the Troops” event benefiting its Return the Favor campaign, which supports the military assistance programs of the VFW. The event will feature live amateur boxing sanctioned by USA Boxing, Inc. and organized by Bob Kerr Boxing Club of Michigan Center, MI. It will be hosted by Former Heavyweight Champion of the World, Larry Holmes.

A limited amount of general admission tickets will be sold at the door on Friday evening, August 19, to NASCAR race fans and the general public.  The cost is $25 per ticket, cash only, and includes an event gift bag.   All ticket purchases are tax-deductible and each guest will be given the appropriate receipt at the door.  Doors open at 7:15 pm and the main event begins at 7:45 pm.

Per event regulations, no personal coolers can be brought into the Budweiser Acceleration Club.  Food, alcoholic beverages, soda and water will be available for purchase.  It is also asked that guests be dressed in appropriate and respectful attire suitable for an evening benefiting the United States military.

Reserved tables of ten (10) that include a VIP meet-n-greet with Larry Holmes, dinner with drink tickets, private table hostess, event credential, gift bag and preferred parking are still available. If you are interested in purchasing or sponsoring (which will allow local military personnel to attend) a reserved table for this event, please call Amy Rowell at 704-905-8324 or email at
