World class BBQ, classic cars and family fun make Speed & Feed BBQ Cook-Off show a must attend

Darlington Raceway’s Speed & Feed BBQ Cook-Off and Car Show has become one of Darlington Raceway’s signature events.

The success of the second year festival is attributed to the support of the track’s great community members and partners. The event will again have charity elements, which support the local municipality and its residents.

For a donation of $10 per person or five non-perishable food items, guests will receive pace car/truck laps around the high-banked Darlington Raceway. All proceeds from the rides will directly benefit The Lord Cares food bank in Darlington.

“This is a great opportunity to make a donation to support a wonderful organization – The Lord Cares,” Darlington Raceway President Chip Wile said. “Darlington Raceway and The Lord Cares share the same passion for our local community. They are truly a great partner and have fed Darlington families in need for over 20 years.”

Additionally, the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program will be on site accepting monetary donations for the holiday season. The track has partnered with Toys for Tots since 2010.

The festival is made possible because of the tremendous support of partners who are participating in the event, including presenting sponsors Sam Carbis Solutions Group and Piggly Wiggly.

Other businesses who are contributing to its success are: Anderson Brass, Bojangles’, Brandt, Carolina Bank, Coca-Cola Co., Crown Beverage, The Decal Source, Florence Convention & Visitor’s Bureau, Georgia-Pacific, G&G Outfitters, Honda of South Carolina, Hyman Paper & Chemical Co., Lathan Consulting Corporation, Le Bleu/Green Mountain Coffee, Martinsville Speedway, Motor Racing Network, NASCAR, the News & Press, OneMain Financial, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Palmetto Staffing, Papa John’s, Brown Pennington Atkins Funeral Home, Raceway Ford & Chevrolet, Raines Hospitality, WBTW TV 13, Weaver Media and West Oil/Markette.

“We can’t thank our partners enough for their support,” Wile said. “It’s is overwhelming to see so many business and organizations getting involved with the events we host.”
