Free Fan Q&A Session on Frontstretch Added to Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Wetumpka Qualifying Night & USCS Sprint Car Shootout

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars Carl Edwards, Ricky Stenhouse Jr., and Kyle Larson will participate in a Question & Answer event Aug. 29 as part of the Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Wetumpka Qualifying Night.

The Q&A will begin at 8:15 p.m. on the Speedway’s front stretch following the debut of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series “Knockout” qualifying at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Fans can submit questions for the driver Q&A via social media on Facebook at www.facebook.com/atlmotorspeedway or on Twitter @AMSupdates. 

The Q&A session will be followed by the Wind Creek Casino & Hotel Wetumpka Sprint Car Shootout on the quarter-mile “Thunder Ring.” All infield guests will be admitted into the grandstands for the Q&A session and sprint car event. Infield attendees can enter at the catch fence gate or via the turn four pedestrian tunnel.

Holyfield, Elliott and Bice to open Great Clips 300 to benefit Feed The Children NASCAR Nationwide Series Event on Aug. 30

Four-time world heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield will be the honorary starter while NASCAR Hall of Fame inductee Bill Elliott has been tabbed as the Grand Marshall and American Idol finalist Bo Bice will sing the national anthem for the Great Clips 300 to benefit Feed The Children NASCAR Nationwide Series Race at Atlanta Motor Speedway Aug. 30.

After a successful boxing career, Holyfield is currently an ambassador for Global Village Foundation Champions, a nonprofit organization that provides meals to homeless world-wide.

Elliott, the 1988 NASCAR champion and native of Dawsonville, Ga., has won 44 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events. He rose to fame in 1985 when he captured the “Winston Million,” claiming a million-dollar bonus for winning events at Daytona, Talladega and Darlington.

In 2005, Bice finished second to Carrie Underwood on FOX television’s American Idol. His first release following that show, “The Real Thing,” yielded the chart-topping single “Inside Your Heaven” and helped Bice attain the first of his two gold record awards.

Tickets for the Great Clips 300 to benefit Feed The Children start at $30 and children ages 12 and under will be admitted free into the grandstands with when accompanied by an adult general admission ticket.

Atlanta Motor Speedway To Offer Free Coffee & Doughnuts at the Monday Morning “Thank You” on Sept. 1

As a thank you to race guests for being part of the Oral-B USA 500 NASCAR night race weekend, Atlanta Motor Speedway will offer race fans  free coffee and doughnuts along with an opportunity to renew their tickets for the Speedway’s 2015 event weekend on Sept. 1 at the Monday Morning “Thank You”.

Krispy Kreme doughnuts along with coffee, juice and Coca-Cola soft drink products will be offered at the Atlanta Motor Speedway ticket office from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. as Speedway staff will be on hand to thank and interact with attendees.

Those attending will have the opportunity to reserve their tickets for the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series event weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway and receive a free tool kit and a 15 percent discount in the Atlanta Motor Speedway gift shop.
