Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series to Air on MAVTV and WCCB Charlotte

The 21st Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series kicks off June 10, and in addition to sitting in the grandstands, fans of the eight-week grassroots racing series can follow their favorite Legend Car and Bandolero drivers nationally on MAVTV and locally on WCCB Charlotte.

A 30-minute recap show will air in the Charlotte area on CW-affiliate WCCB, channel 11 on Time Warner Cable, at 1 p.m. on the Saturday following the Tuesday-night event. Nationally, fans can see a 30-minute recap show on popular cable TV network MAVTV. The recap will air on Thursday afternoons on MAVTV between noon and 4 p.m., nine days following the live racing action at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Each show will be hosted by Speedway TV’s Lenny Batycki and will feature highlights from the racing action in seven Legend Car and Bandolero divisions, as well as interviews from Victory Lane. The show will also cover the exhibition race each week, which includes school bus slobberknockers, mascot mania kart racing and more.

The Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series starts Tuesday, June 10 with a Principal School Bus Slobberknocker, featuring area principals trading paint in mammoth machines on the frontstretch quarter-mile oval. In addition, more than 150 Legend Car and Bandolero competitors will travel across the country to battle on Charlotte Motor Speedway’s frontstretch quarter-mile oval for the prestigious Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series championship.

Tickets to the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series are just $7 for adults and kids 13 and under get in free. Tickets are available in advance at the speedway ticket office and at Gates 4 and 5 the night of the event. Parking is free. Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. with preliminary action starting at 5:10 p.m. Opening ceremonies are at 6:45 p.m. and feature races are scheduled to conclude by approximately 10 p.m.
