With the Southern National Motorsports Park Late Model Stock off this week, track owners Michael Diaz and Jerry Brown have turned to a former track champion’s charity for some short track action.
This Thursday evening at the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown at South Boston Speedway (VA), four cars will, in part, fly the SNMP colors. If any of those four drivers find their way into victory lane, SNMP will donate an extra $1,000 to the Denny Hamlin Foundation.
The drivers are:
#99 Peyton Sellers (Danville Toyota)
#83 Matt Bowling (Hopkins Lumber)
#28 George Brunnhoelzl III (Composite Technologies)
#61 Ryan Preece (Jumpstart Motorsports, East West Marine, Dunleavy’s Truck & Trailer Rental, Sophie’s Rest of Southold, NY)
“We thought it would be a great way to support the Denny Hamlin Foundation,” said Michael Diaz, co-owner of Southern National Motorsports Park. “We’re pretty confident that Southern Naitonal will be paying out the extra $1,000 at the end of the night.”
