Richmond International Raceway Kicks Off 9th Annual Central Virginia Food Bank & Marine Toys for Tots Drive

For the ninth consecutive year, Richmond International Raceway is teaming up with two great organizations to help support those who are less fortunate throughout the Greater Richmond Metropolitan community. Everyone is encouraged to help the Richmond International Raceway staff assist the Central Virginia Food Bank and the Marine Toys for Totsprogram now through December 12 by donating food items and new, unwrapped toys during this upcoming holiday season.

“The Central Virginia Food Bank and Marine Toys for Tots are two very special programs for us here at Richmond International Raceway,” said track president Dennis Bickmeier. “We recognize the need for our community throughout the year, but especially during the holiday season. I encourage everyone to make a difference this holiday season and donate to these worthwhile programs. Additionally, I pledge that Richmond International Raceway will match can-for-can and toy-for-toy the donations we receive here at the track.”

Donations can be made to both organizations at the Richmond International Raceway ticket office located at the corner of Laburnum Avenue and Richmond-Henrico Turnpike (Meadowbridge Road). The ticket office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Food items most needed are canned meats and fish, canned and dried beans, canned vegetables and fruits, hot and cold cereals and pasta and rice.
