Catch Holiday Classics on the World’s Largest HDTV Throughout Speedway Christmas

Round the family up and get ready for the holiday season because Charlotte Motor Speedway will once again feature drive-in movie nights throughout Speedway Christmas. If millions of lights and a Christmas Village are not enough, families can enjoy a movie during the spectacular light show every Friday and Saturday night until Dec. 28.

There is a movie for everyone, from the classic “A Christmas Story” and comedies like “Christmas Vacation” and “Elf,” to more recent favorites like “Polar Express.”

“Watching movies together has always been a great way for families to bond,” said Marcus Smith, president and general manager of Charlotte Motor Speedway. “Whether it’s taking in the lights or enjoying a Christmas classic on the world’s largest HDTV, we want our fans to create memories here and make Charlotte Motor Speedway a part of their holiday traditions.”

Before settling down for the movie night, fans are encouraged to enjoy the fantastic light displays and festive activities offered by Speedway Christmas. The 3.1-mile course boasts more than 3 million lights in 800 displays that will excite visitors of all ages. On Thursday through Sunday nights, the Christmas Village provides tons of family fun, including photos with Santa, the Bojangles’ Petting Zoo, marshmallow roasting, bumper cars and so much more!

Admission to the movie nights is included with the purchase of a Speedway Christmas ticket. Movies will begin at 7 p.m. each night and are held every Friday and Saturday.

Nov. 29 and 30: “Polar Express”
Dec. 6 and 7: “Christmas Vacation”
Dec. 13 and 14: “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”
Dec. 20 and 21: “A Christmas Story”
Dec. 27 and 28: “Elf”

Speedway Christmas is open nightly through Dec. 30 from 6-10 p.m., and is closed Christmas Day. Admission to Speedway Christmas is $15 per car on nights the village is closed and $20 per car on nights the village is open. Group rates for tour buses and corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available.
