Darlington Raceway is celebrating its 65th year of racing in 2014 and the track Too Tough To Tameis kicking off its anniversary year by announcing a fun contest for its renewal customers.
Fans that renew their tickets and/or camping for the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bojangles’ Southern 500 race weekend on April 11-12, 2014, by the November 8 deadline will be automatically entered into the track’s “Victory Lane Celebration!” sweepstakes.
Following the deadline, one randomly drawn winner and a guest will receive the opportunity to visit Gatorade Victory Lane and get their picture taken with the Bojangles’ Southern 500 race winner following the event.
Better yet, the fan will also be able to take home the actual Johnny Mantz Trophy, which is awarded to the winner of the Bojangles’ Southern 500, when they leave Gatorade Victory Lane that night!
“We wanted to put together a fun contest for our renewal customers that gives a lucky winner the chance to take the Johnny Mantz Trophy home with them following our event,” track President Chip Wile said. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for an avid race fan and all you have to do is renew your tickets and/or camping and you’re automatically entered into the contest. It’s that simple.”
Ticket renewals are currently in the mail so fans should check their mailboxes in the coming days to renew for 2014.
Renewing your tickets early guarantees your seats or campsites prior to the November 29 public on sale date. Renewing customers also receive great benefits including the race day track walk, the chance to purchase pre-race pit passes and Darlington Stripe Zone fan hospitality packages at a discounted rate, plus the option to participate in the track’s four-part payment plan.
Fans may also enter the contest by printing their name, address, city, state, zip code, daytime and evening phone numbers (including area codes), and date of birth on a 3″ x 5″ card and mail the card, with proper postage affixed to: “Bojangles’ Southern 500 Victory Lane Celebration” Sweepstakes, c/o Darlington Raceway, 1301 Harry Byrd Hwy., Darlington, SC 29532. All mail-in entries must be postmarked by November 8, 2013, to be eligible.
