Better Half Dash Offers Bounty To Support Good Cause

BOUNTY HUNTERS – Lyn-Z Pastrana and Michelle Gilliland will have the chance to earn even more money for charity in today’s Better Half Dash at Charlotte Motor Speedway thanks to Speed51.com’s “Better Half Bounty” and a matching bounty from fellow competitor Wendy Venturini.
The top four qualifiers for the Bandolero racing event – Pastrana (defending champion and wife of NASCAR driver Travis Pastrana), Gilliland (wife of NASCAR driver David Gilliland), Ashley Stremme (wife of NASCAR driver David Stremme) and Venturini (wife of TRD engine tuner Jarrad Egert) – were eligible to choose to start from the rear and go for the bounty, which would be split between MRO and their favorite charity. Only Pastrana and Gilliland chose to participate.
Stremme will start from the pole by virtue of garnering the most online donations for MRO. Venturini, who declined to start from the rear and race for the bounty, matched Speed51.com’s offer and will double the bounty if Pastrana or Gilliland win after starting from the back of the field.
Speed51.com will provide live Trackside Now web updates for the Better Half Dash, scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Speed51.com will also be providing NASCAR’s coverage for the UNOH Southern Slam 150 for the Whelen Southern Modified Tour later Friday night.
