Darlington Raceway wants you to move to the front of the line! - Speedway Digest

For the second consecutive year, the historic Darlington Raceway is partnering with WIS TV for a unique NASCAR Night promotion at the South Carolina State Fair. The event will be held in Columbia on Oct. 16.

NASCAR Night will feature prize giveaways, various showcars and an autograph session with Austin Dillon, Ken Schrader, Morgan Shepherd, J.J. Yeley, and South Carolina natives Jeremy Clements and Jordan Anderson.

With the popularity of the autograph session, which takes place from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, the autograph lines can form quickly. Darlington Raceway and WIS (host of the event) are partnering to give a lucky fan and a guest the opportunity to move directly to the front of the autograph line to meet the stars of the sport.

The winner will also receive two (2) tickets and two (2) pre-race pit passes to the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Bojangles’ Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway.

“This is a NASCAR fanatic’s dream. Not only do they get move to the front of the line to meet the rising stars in our sport, but they also get to join us next year for the Bojangles’ Southern 500,” Darlington Raceway President Chip Wile said. “This is a great opportunity to celebrate our sport at the South Carolina State Fair with fans and community members who share our passion about racing.”

To participate, fans simply have to text “RACE” to 80310 from their Sprint smartphone or other mobile device and they are entered into the drawing. Message and data rates may apply.

The winner will be selected by WIS and contacted on Oct. 15, the day before NASCAR Night.

Darlington Raceway staff will also be on hand at the WIS tent throughout the day providing materials and giveaways.
