Fans Will Find New Restrooms, Concession Stand At Martinsville Speedway

Race fans will discover new restrooms and a new concession stand along the concourse in the first-turn area of Martinsville Speedway when they arrive for the Goody’s® Headache Relief Shot®500 Powered by Kroger.

The 3,000-square foot building located under the South Terrace has men’s and women’s restrooms and two family restrooms. It also contains a concession stand with full cooking capabilities.

“I believe fans are going to be really pleased when they see the new facilities,” said Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell. “Fan comfort and convenience have always been a priority for us. We want to make sure the facilities at Martinsville Speedway are equal to those at any other venue our fans may attend.”

This is the third restroom construction project in three years at Martinsville Speedway and is “part of an ongoing project to keep upgrading our facilities for fans,” according to Campbell.

The new building is on an elevated platform constructed in the superstructure of the grandstand and ties into the existing concourse that not only doesn’t affect the flow of traffic, but actually allows for a better traffic flow because it is set behind the concourse.

“When we went into the project we were concerned about constructing a building this large in an area where there is so much pedestrian traffic,” said Campbell. “But our architects did a great job of planning the construction of the building so it doesn’t interfere with foot traffic at all.”
