NASCAR Nationwide Series Test April 15 Open to Fans at Mid Ohio

Sam Hornish, Jr., driver of the No. 12 Alliance Truck Parts / WURTH Ford Mustang for Penske Racing is testing at Mid-Ohio Monday, April 15. The test is open to fans for free from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hornish, Jr. currently leads the NASCAR Nationwide Series Championship standings by 28 points heading into this weekend’s race. He has one victory this season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Fans looking to attend the test are asked to enter at Gate 3. The Infield and The Keyhole will be open. The tower, pits, paddock and garage area are closed to fans. A map and fact sheet will be distributed to fans upon arrival with more details.

“The response to the NASCAR Nationwide Series coming to Mid-Ohio has been enormous and continues to grow as we get closer to our season. This test not only serves an important technical purpose but it also gives us an opportunity to give our fans a small taste of what to expect at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200 on August 17.” said Craig Rust, president of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

Fans are welcome to take photos and videos of the cars on track as well as bring food and/or drinks as concession stands will be closed. Please note that the test will break from noon to 1 p.m. Further information and an access map will be distributed to fans when they arrive. They are also welcome to bring food and/or coolers.
