Harrison Rhodes Rockingham Speedway Preview

MacDonald Motorsports is proud to announce that 19-year old Harrison Rhodes will return to the seat of their black and white No. 49 this weekend for the season finale at Rockingham Speedway. Rhodes, from High Point, NC, will make his 5th NASCAR K&N Pro Series East start of the season this weekend and third for MacDonald Motorsports. The team is confident Rhodes will be able to compete for a strong finish and end the season on a positive note.

“I am very excited about getting to drive the Hands and Feet Project #49 at Rockingham Speedway this weekend,” explained Rhodes. “It is going to be awesome getting to race at a track where there is so much history and where so many great drivers have raced. We have a great car for this weekend and a strong crew so I have no doubt that a top-notch finish is possible.”

The Hands and Feet Project joins Harrison and MacDonald Motorsports this weekend for the race in Rockingham. The Hands and Feet Project is a great organization that strives to raise a generation of orphaned children who will grow up to reach their God given potential. Secondly, they empower first world citizens to partner with them in service at home and abroad.

The current focus of the Hands and Feet Project is building Children’s villages in the Caribbean nation of Haiti. Each village is built with the dual purpose of caring for orphans and providing a place for partners to come serve with them on short term mission trips. Their villages are lead by American and Haitian staff members who are committed to the Hands and Feet family value. Harrison and the MacDonald Motorsports team are hoping to raise awareness of the Hands and Feet Project and fans can learn more at www.HAFproject.org.

Christian rock band Audio Adrenaline will also be presented on Harrison’s #49 car this Saturday at Rockingham. The newly reunited band has two Grammy awards to their credit, both for best Rock Gospel Album of the Year.

“I’m really excited to see the Hands and Feet #49 on the racetrack this weekend,” explained Jeni MacDonald, team ovwner. “I really hope we can raise awareness as to what Hands and Feet are doing and bring them more support.”

In his first four starts in the series this season, Harrison has two top-10’s and one top-5 finish. In July at CNB Bank Raceway Park in Pennsylvania, Rhodes drove an excellent race in the MacDonald Motorsports car, running inside the top-5 most of the night and finishing 8th. Last month at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Harrison was making moves through the field early on before getting caught up in an accident not of his own doing.

Saturday will mark the 1st NASCAR K&N Pro Series race at the historic 1-mile oval known as “The Rock.” It is great to be back at a track that has so much history in the sport. Harrison Rhodes will aim to make some history of his own this weekend, driving the www.HAFProject.org No. 49 for MacDonald Motorsports.

“Harrison has been quick in our car both times out this season so everyone on the team has been looking forward to this race for a while now,” said Jeni. “Our cars have been getting faster as the season has progressed so if we can get a little bit of luck on our side, we should have a really solid finish.”

Fans in the area are encouraged to get out to the track this weekend for what is sure to be an excellent season ending race. Cheer on Harrison Rhodes and the MacDonald Motorsports No. 49 team this Saturday, Novemeber 3rd, at 2PM ET.
