Trey Hutchens to Carry Kroger and Herr’s Colors This Weekend in Martinsvil​le Speedway Debut

Trey Hutchens will compete in the Virginia Is for Racing Lovers 300 NASCAR Late Model Stock Race at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway this weekend.

The 14-year-old fourth-generation driver will pilot the No. 15 Trey Hutchens Racing entry with sponsorship assistance from Kroger®, Herr’s Foods, and Kingsford® Charcoal.

“I am excited to compete in the biggest Late Model race of the year, and honored to represent Kroger®, Herr’s Foods, and Kingsford® at this event,” stated Hutchens.

Hutchens competed successfully all year at Ace Speedway, finishing fourth in the yearend championship standings at the Altamahaw, N.C. track in his rookie season. Saturday’s race will be his first at the famed .526-mile Martinsville Speedway oval.

“We had the chance to go and test at Martinsville a few weeks ago and those were my first laps on the track,” Hutchens said. “I know that the best Late Model drivers in the country will be there for this event and I am thankful for the opportunity to compete at a track that I have always dreamed of racing on.”
