Travis Pastrana to Compete in Blue Ox 100 NASCAR K&N Race

Arguably the most popular competitor in motocross history, Travis Pastrana is coming to Richmond International Raceway to compete in the Blue Ox 100 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race on Thursday night, April 28th. Additionally, Pastrana, known for wowing crowds with his amazing freestyle motocross stunts, will participate in a question and answer session in the Party Zone fan hospitality on Friday, April 29th, prior to the BUBBA burger 250 NASCAR Nationwide Series race.

Pastrana is racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series, which features separate schedules and championships for the East and West, and makes up the top step of the NASCAR Home Tracks ladder—a launching pad for developmental drivers and home for veterans of motorsports. In addition to producing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Joey Logano, Martin Truex Jr. and Kevin Harvick, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series has served as the starting point for some of the top up-and-coming talent now in NASCAR’s three national series, including 2011 Daytona 500 winner Trevor Bayne, Austin Dillon and Ryan Truex.

The Blue Ox 100 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race runs prior to the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown on Thursday, April 28th. The Showdown features NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, Michael Waltrip, Joey Logano Bayne and Hermie Sadler, Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell and some of the best Late Model Stock Car drivers in the area.
