Entry Count Surpasses 500 For 35th Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout

Early entry has been open since September 24, 2019, and the entries are rolling in for the 35th annual Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout as the count has already shot past the 500 mark for the “Midwest Mecca of Micros”.
Happening January 1-4, 2020, atop the clay of the Tulsa Expo Raceway, located inside the River Spirit Expo Center in Tulsa, Okla. the list of Golden Driller hopefuls stands at 503 entries among 221 Drivers from 145 Municipalities and 23 States.
Among those entered, 16 drivers have topped the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout with five of those entered returning to add to their 2019 victories, including Blake Hahn who leads the list of past champions with eight Golden Drillers to his credit.
Austin Wood, who topped Junior Sprint competition will be back in action as well as Delaware’s Kyle Spence, Tulsa’s Shawn Mahaffey, and California’s Jake Hagopian.
Since the start of the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout, 354 drivers have earned their place in history across 64 divisions, ranging from Karts, Quads, and beyond. South Dakota’s Gregg Bakker leads the all-time win list with 13 victories in 250 Pro and Open Pro Quad competition.

Discounted $100 entry fee per class goes through Tuesday, December 3, 2019. Starting Wednesday, December 4, 2019, the fee per class goes to $125 with all early entry cut off on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. After that, teams will be able to enter the event during move-in on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, with all entries coming to a stop at Noon on Wednesday, January 1, 2020.
The 35th edition of the Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout will see no change to the class lineup with A-Class (Wing, Non-Wing, and Restricted), Outlaw (Wing and Non-Wing), and Junior Sprints as well as the new Oklahoma 600cc Modifieds in action. For all classes, RaceCeivers are mandatory. The frequency will be 454.000.
Rules for each class have been finalized and posted. Changes to point out for teams is in A-Class and Stock Non-Wing.
Starting with the 2020 event, all stock classes will be allowed to run Electronic or Mechanical Injectors with a mechanical fuel pump with stock OEM throttle bodies or carbs only will be allowed. No mixing of manufacturers.
