NASCAR Whelen Euro Series to highlight the June 22-23 Chinon Classic

NASCAR Whelen Euro Series cars will roar in the streets of Chinon, France on June 22-23, highlighting the 19th edition of the Chinon Classic. The event will mark a unique occasion for French fans to get close to the European NASCAR series and its drivers in a unique event gathering every year more than 20.000 fans. 

The Euro NASCAR cars will be in action on the 1.5 km track and be on display in downtown Chinon, inside a dedicated area along the river Vienne for the fans to meet the machines and some of the drivers animating the European NASCAR championship. The 400 Hp V8 beasts will hit the streets of Chinon on Saturday from 15:00 to 17:00 and three times on Sunday with spectacular runs on a scenic street circuit, together with more than 300 between cars and motorbikes from all ages.

“It will be a great event and an amazing experience to drive our Euro NASCAR cars in the streets of the medieval town of Chinon, as well as a good opportunity to meet with our French NASCAR fans! There will be free access to track and paddock as well as great show on site alongside with the historic event. The 2019 edition of the Chinon Classic will celebrate the 96th anniversary of the 1923 Grand Prix of Tours and the presence the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series cars will definitely give the event a special flavour.
