Michael Faulk Back In Action During Myrtle Beach 400

Michael Faulk is dusting off his driving suit to compete in the 26th annual Myrtle Beach 400 this weekend at Myrtle Beach Speedway.

Faulk, a veteran driver who spends most of his days working as a driving coach, crew chief and team manager at Lee Faulk Racing and Development, got the itch to return to the cockpit and will do so this weekend in the late model stock car portion of the Myrtle Beach 400 on Saturday.

Saturday’s race will be Faulk’s first race of the season. The 37-year-old native of Florida was scheduled to race in February in the Meltdown Race at South Carolina’s Greenville-Pickens Speedway, but an illness forced him to sit out the event.

“We’ve had a very fulfilling year at Lee Faulk Racing and Development and I’ve had the chance to work with a lot of outstanding young racers. We’ve earned a lot of victories this year, but hopefully I can do my job and deliver one more for the team in Myrtle Beach,” said Faulk. “I haven’t gotten to race at all this year, but I’m still confident I can get the job done and I’m looking forward to proving it on Saturday.”

Faulk’s late model will carry sponsorship from a number of companies, including US Tank, McNulty’s Taproom in Blythewood, S.C., Motul, McCallister Precision Marketing, Wiley X, Shoot and Reel and Sparrow Ranch.

“I wouldn’t be able to do this without all of my great partners,” said Faulk. “I don’t get the chance to race very often, so to have the support that I’ve got from all these great partners for such a big race like the Myrtle Beach 400 is incredibly special and very important to me. I can’t thank each of them enough for their support. I can’t wait to get out on the track and chase a win for all of them.”
