Shepherd Set for Chaudière in NASCAR Pinty’s Series

Pete Shepherd will make his first career start at Autodrome Chaudière this Saturday, June 30th.  He is coming off a 9th place finish in his season debut at Jukasa Motor Speedway.  Pete is hoping for a finish closer to the front this time around.              

“Dave Jacombs worked on the front end of the car early last week with the guys at McColl Racing Enterprises.  They made some changes which will better suit my driving style.  I really appreciate the effort put forth by our team, and everyone at Jacombs Racing to get me geared up.”

Pete Shepherd will have a new sponsor on the #79 Ford Fusion this weekend, as Lou’s Barbeque Co. will be on board.  Lou’s has been developing superior, innovative products for Canadian Families for over 35 years, and Pete is excited to have them step up for this event.

 “Lou’s has supported NASCAR and Jacombs Racing for several years now.  I am proud to host their name as a primary sponsor for the event at Chaudière!  I want to make them proud of their investment, and I believe we will have the car to do it.”

The facility of Autodrome Chaudière is just under a half mile, and it sits outside of Quebec City.  It’s regarded as a tighter track with two good racing groves.  The track will definitely provide the fans with bumper to bumper excitement, and Shepherd embraces that.

“My Grandfather, Bill Zardo, raced here years ago.  He mentioned that it’s the type of track that I will like.  I was practicing on tracks similar to Chaudière on my new VRX Simulator, so I am hopeful that I can get in an early rhythm.  I’d like to thank VRX Simulators and VRX eSports for all their support, as well as National Exhaust Systems Inc.”
