Team FALKEN’s Yoshihide Muroya claims third victory of the season in the seventh race of this year’s Red Bull Air Race World Championship

Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. (SRI) (CEO: Ikuji Ikeda) is pleased to announce that Team FALKEN’s Yoshihide Muroya has claimed his third victory of the season in the seventh race of this year’s Red Bull Air Race World Championship, which was held this past September 16-17 weekend in Lausitz, Germany. Through the FALKEN brand, SRI is proud to sponsor Mr. Muroya, who holds the distinction of being the only race pilot from Asia competing in the Master Class in the Red Bull Air Race World Championship 2017.

Having scored consecutive wins in the second and third races of the season before placing third in the fourth race, Mr. Muroya once again demonstrated his amazing high-speed, high-precision flying skills in Lausitz from the preliminary heat up through the main event to win his third race so far this year. Thanks to his strong performance in last weekend’s race, Mr. Muroya now finds himself in 2nd place overall. With only one more race left in this year’s tournament, Mr. Muroya is a strong contender for series champion, so we hope that you will continue to watch and cheer him on as he soars toward victory.

Yoshihide Muroya is an outstanding pilot whose hard-won skills have taken him to competitions around the world while earning him widespread recognition on the global stage. Meanwhile, FALKEN is a brand that is well-known throughout the world for high-performance tires developed using the latest cutting-edge technologies and further refined through our active participation in competitive motorsports and ongoing efforts to fulfill the exacting demands of global automakers. Recognizing the strong compatibility between this remarkable pilot and FALKEN’s own brand image, SRI was pleased to sign a sponsorship agreement with Mr. Muroya in 2015.
